Stephan Marienfeld belongs to a newer generation of artists and sculptors who focus on the manipulation of geometric shapes in their works. His works are characterized by a combination of clean lines and vibrant colors, giving them a unique aesthetic.

There is a long tradition of using geometric shapes in art history, especially in classical sculpture. However, Marienfeld breaks away from this tradition by changing the shapes and creating new, modern interpretations.

Stephan Marienfeld became internationally famous through his characteristic BONDAGE sculptures. He plays with the tension and curvature of surfaces and the resulting light reflections, which makes his works unmistakable, independent and striking. In his sculptures he combines aluminum with bright colors and uses bronze to give them a certain depth and structure and to bring them to life. This gives the viewer a unique art experience.

In his work, Marienfeld places great emphasis on aesthetics and color combinations, making him an important contributor to the international contemporary art scene.

The technical brilliance of Marienfeld's works and his own, unmistakable formal language have opened the artist's access to renowned international collections.
His works can be found at, among others, NATIONAL-BANK Essen, Museum VOORLINDEN in NL-Wassennaar, Museum im Glaspalast/Collection Prof. Walther in Augsburg, Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, CHATEAU LA CROIX DES GARDES in F-Cannes.

His works have been exhibited internationally, including in Paris, Monaco, Aspen, New York, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Beirut.
Two of his works DISLIKE were on display at the Venice Biennale in 2019 in the outdoor area of the Palazzo Mora.
